The MANTLE NETWORK Initiative is an international collective of researchers, students and profesionnals dedicated to advancing our understanding of the Earth’s mantle and related planetary processes.
The goals of the initiative are to:
- Connect communities, from geologists to geodynamicists, geophysicists, petrologists and geochemists — including the lava-side of the community.
- Promote scientific communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing across the mantle research communities.
- Foster synergies by involving students, early-career researchers, scientists and professionals from all regions of the world.
The initiative progressively emerged during the Lherzolite Conference 2024 and EMAW 2025. Founded by Romain Tilhac (CNRS, Géosciences Montpellier) in 2026, mantlenetwork.org was launched at MEREMA 3 to showcase mantle science and serve as a hub for resources, webinars and meetings coordination.
